Well, first to quote the great Carl Friedrich Gauss, mathematician, astronomer, physicist and geodesist,
"You know that I write slowly. This is chiefly because I am never satisfied until I have said as much as possible in a few words, and writing briefly takes far more time than writing at length."
So I have aimed to be to the point and practical, without wordiness and irrelevance, avoiding the tangential. Readability is also a key feature, as will be seen from the reviews.
Busy academics want the whole picture in a concise form,. I provide further reading for those who need to go further.
The ebook provides extensive clickable links, internal and external. The paperback version cannot provide links in the same way (readers don't want to write links out – or even scan rhem), so there is a comprehensive index and footnotes instead.
It may be worthwhile the reader having both versions, especially given the very low cost of the ebook (~$3 or less).
